  Nora Elizabeth Laswell Wright Birth: May 5, 1903 Indiana, USA Death: Sep. 7, 2003 Jeffersonville Clark County Indiana, USA OBITUARY Nora E. Wright NEW ALBANY -- Nora E. Wright, 100, formerly of Mifflin, IN, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, September 7, 2003, at Hill Crest Convalescent Center in Jeffersonville, IN. She was born May 5, 1903 in Mifflin, the daughter of Andrew and Annie (Luff) Laswell. She was a homemaker and a member of Spring Avenue Weslyan Church in New Albany for 60 years. She is survived by two sons, Robert Shafer of New Albany and Ivan Shafer of English, IN; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grand-children; and two sisters, Agnes Forbes of Orleans, IN, and Opal Mitchell of Eckerty, IN. She was preceded in death by a son, Arlin Shafer, one grandson, three brothers and one sister. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. EST Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at Denbo Funeral Home in English, with Rev. Philo Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. EST Tuesday and 9 a.m. EST to the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
