Born May 2, 1922, in Crawford County, she was the daughter of the late James Levert and Martha Sprinkle Atkins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Wilson Roby; three children, Betty M., Bill and Donald E. Roby; five brothers, Clifford, Chester, Carl, Cecil and Jody Atkins; and a sister, Olive M. Atkins.
Survivors include two children, Ronald Roby and Shirley Hanover, both of Marengo; a sister, Grace Saltz of New Albany; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo on Saturday, March 10, 4 to 8 p.m.; Sunday, March 11, 2 to 8 p.m.; Monday, March 12, until time of service. Funeral: Monday, March 12, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Marengo Cemetery. Officiant: The Rev. Morris Larimore. Musician: Danny Jones.
