Her grandson John C. Smith wrote in his writings, "Grandmother was a good Baptist, thought no harm in churning on Sunday She was a midwife, an expert on horseback, for a woman. She had dark hair, blue eyes, fair skin and weighed nearly 200 lbs." (it appears she moved to N.C. when her brothers moved to N.C. prior to moving with her husband to KY.) she died in Cumberland Co., Ky and was buried by her husband in the "Burying ground" on their farm in Cumberland Co., KY. Smith Newsletter has that she married William Smyth in 1764 in Amherst County, Virginia.
