Bennett; Some interesting information I've just connected; Harrison Bennett was Catherine "Kitty" Grimes' first husband. He died in 1858. He is my wife's great-great-grandfather. John Clark Wellman was her 2nd husband. He died in 1876. Catherine died in 1910. The interesting information is that I believe Harrison and Clark were first cousins, sharing maternal grandparents. If this is true, then my wife is not only blood related to Catherine & Harrison, but Clark as well. Clark's Father and Mother were Joseph Wellman and Sarah Pittman. Harrison's Father and Mother were William M. Bennett and Rebecca Pittman. Rebecca and Sarah Pittman were sisters, daughters of James Pittman and Rachel McGrew; to complicate things further, Ruth McGrew, Rachel McGrew's sister, was also William M. Bennett's first wife. After her death, William married her niece, Rebecca.
