      Nathaniel D. Malcolm, Sr.

      FORT MEADE-Nathaniel D. Malcolm, Sr., of 512 North Oak Ave., died today, Aug. 2,1993, at Bartow Memorial Hospital. Mr. Malcolm was born on March 23, 1910 in Atlanta, Ga. He was a retired assistant superintendent for Swift & Co. A retired Army captain, he served with the 544th E. V. and S. R. South Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of Fort Meade American Legion Post 3. He was a former treasurer of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Margaret L. Clements Malcolm; two sons, Capt. Nathaniel Malcolm, Jr., serving with the Navy in Naples, Italy, and Lucas J. Malcolm of Athens, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

      The funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30 a. m. in First United Methodist Church in Fort Meade. Rev. David Moenning and Rev. Lawrence Sthreshley will conduct last rites. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:30 until 7:30 p. m. in Dan L. Moody Funeral Home chapel.
