Hello Ron, I hope you are well and continuing to enjoy retirement.
I'm writing to inform you of the death of my great-aunt, Ruth Yates Collier, on 8/28/2018 in Columbus, Indiana. She was 99. Her brother Harold "Bud" Yates predeceased her by a few years in New Richland, WI.
You and your Uncle Jim met Aunt Ruth in a Terre Haute, IN restaurant where several of us met a few years ago. Also in that meeting was her daughter, Leigh Ann Collier Oney, and my Uncle Tom Johnson and his wife Paula. Tom is the youngest son of Dorothy Yates Johnson, plder Ruth's sister.
I am the daughter of Richard Ray "Rick" Johnson, eldest son of Dorothy Yates Johnson and niece of Tom Johnson.
Thank you so much for the work you have put into recording the Yates family tree and sharing it with all of us. Grandchildren of Ruth Yates Collier are now interested in exploring the site and we are connecting to share learning about our ancestors.
We are fortunate to have this information at our fingertips.
