Date: February 11, 2012 7:11:50 PM EST; To: "Ron Yates"; I can remember corresponding with you. Think was probalby on my husbands lines. Which are Snider, Ruberson and Tyree. The family moved from Indiana to Missouri by 1850. Think they lived in the Ten Mile area near Macon and also lived in some surrounding counties. My hsubands gg grandparents were George Washhington Snider Sr and Matilda Blevins. They married in Crawford County Indiana and in 1840 and had two children the youngest of which was my husbands great grandfather George Washington Snider Jr. He was born in 1844 in Orange County, Indiana, and a couple months later in August we found that his estate was being settled. Matilda then married Jonah L. Ruberson in 1848 and they have moved to Missiouri by 1850. Think they were first in Randolph County and then moved to Ten Mile, Macon County. Georges step sister Lydia married William Tyree and they lived in the Nevada area in Vernon County. Both William and George W. Snider served in Merrils Horse Unit during the War. Think Matilda and Jonah had one daughter Malinda but she must have died young. Haven't been able to find out anything about her. But, at the time of Matildas death she said was the mother of three children and one decease. We know the other was David Snider. Think his middle initial was F.
Anothe rline of my husband is Smelse, but think we corresponded about the others. We did find his gg grandmother Sarah Norville Smelser buried in the Lees Summitt Missouri city cemetery. She is surround by several members of the Jones family including George and Nancy. We have discovered that Nancy was her daughter. Nadine
