Springfield News Leader. Oct. 25, 1977; CHARLES GAIL CLINGMAN; WALNUT GROVE --Charles Gail Clingman, 74, Walnut Grove, was dead on arrival at St. John's Hospital in Springfield Monday evening of natural causes, according to a funeral home spokesman. He was a native of Pleasant Hope and was a longtime resident of the Walnut Grove area. He was a member of Walnut Grove First Baptist Church and was a member of O'Sullivan Masonic Lodge No. 7 and the Eastern Star Lodge in Walnut Grove. Mr. Clingman was also a farmer and stockman. Survivors include his wife, Blanche: two sisters, Mrs. Opal Shewmaker, Springfield, and Mrs. Mildred Garrett, Dunnegan; and two brothers, Ray, of Sioux City, S.D., and Keim, of Springfield.
