SERVICES HELD THIS MORNING FOR WILLIAM KLINGMAN
Grocery Salesman Dies Suddenly Yesterday At Leland Home
Funeral services for William Klingman, who died suddenly yesterday morning at his home in Leland at 10:30 o'clock this morning. Mr. Klingman was 72.
The services were conducted by the Rev. J,B. Leavell, Baptist pastor, assisted by Dr. Charles Kramer and the Rev. W.C. Baker. Burial was in the Stoneville-Leland cemetery with Slovall Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
A native of Bolton, Miss., Mr. Klingman came to the Delta 40 years ago and became connected with McGee Dean and company. He was traveling salesman for the Goyer company, P.P. Williams and company and at the time of death connected with the Lewis Grocery company of Indianola. He was a Mason, member of the Leland Lodge 490.
He was married to Miss Clemmie Turner of Leland in 1899, who survives. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. C.M. Clower, Venezuela, and Mrs. J.W. Hunter of Santo Domingo: two granddaughters, Jean Clower and Emma Hunter; a sister, Miss Jennie Klingman, Bolton, and two brothers, Charles Klingman, Indianola, and E. E. Klingman of Greenville.
