    • WESTVILLE - Anne (Savoldi) Bishop, 94, of Westville, died (Aug. 11, 2003) at Pleasent Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman.

      Anne was born April 5, 1909, in Westville, the daughter of Peter and Maria (Gualdoni) Savoldi. She married Willet W. Bishop Sr. on Aug. 17, 1932. He died in August of 1976.

      Survivors include: two sons, Willet Bishop Jr. of Grapevine, Texas, and Terry (Nancy) Bishop of St. Joseph; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Roberta, her parents, a daughter-in-law, Pat, a brother and two sisters.

      Anne taught for 28 years in the Westville Elementary and Junior High schools, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the IEA and Vermilion County Retired Teachers Association, board member of Sandusky Cemetery Association and served many years as a board member for the Westville Public Library. Funeral services were held at Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Westville; Burial: Sandusky Cemetery in Westville; The Independent News - Georgetown, Ill. August 27, 2003.
