PAUL BLAKENEY
Georgetown (CNS) -- Paul Francis Blakeney, 71, of 314 Whittier, Georgetown, was pronounced dead-on-arrival at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday (June 28, 1972) at Lake View Memorial Hospital. Born June 18, 1901, in Vermilion County, he was a son of Hugh and Edith Anderson Blakeney. He married Cora Greenberg in 1926, who died in 1966. He married Elva Collom December 2, 1967, in Georgetown, who survives.
Mr. Blakeney was a retired farmer and a former resident of Ambia, Indiana. He attended the Georgetown Church of Christ and was a member of the Vermilion County Farm Bureau. Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. Marcella Rambole of Danville; two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence and Hugh Blakeney, both of Ambia; and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Zanders of Danville and Mrs. Mary Geduhn of Catlin. A brother preceded him death. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Houghton Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Hill Cemetery at Hoopeston. Visitors will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
