Mary Eleanor Fondren Dill was the mother of my great-great grandmother, Amoretta Dill(Green). It is my understanding that Mary Eleanor died in South Carolina about 1813. Her husband, John Dill, married a second time to Mary Green Copeland, widow of William Copeland. Mary Copeland's husband died in September, 1814. John Dill and Mary Copeland had a daughter, Cynthia Caroline, born in 1816, so he and Mary Copeland had to have married in late 1814 or early 1815. In 1818 John Dill migrated to Alabama with his second wife. There are documents that can specifically place him in Alabama in 1819. Contact me if you would like to discuss this. Don't change what you have on my word alone. I just want to know her death date. If you have documentation on the 1815 death date, please share it with me so I can correct my records. Thank You, Margaret Green Margaret Green benngreen@windstream.net
