    • Charles Saxon Guyton was the second son of Moses I. and Tabith Saxon Guyton. He was born in Spartanburg District of South Carolina on Sept. 6, 1793. He located to Laurens County in 1815. He was honored resident of this county, a man of highest integrity and ability. He acquired wealth and owned large plantations in the Buckeye Settlement of Laurens County. He was a member of the House of Representatives from Laurens County in 1838 and represented his county in the State Convention of 1839.

      On June 29, 1830, he married Elmina Horn, daughter of Josiah and Rebecca Young Horn. They had four children:

      1. Cincinnatus Saxon Guyton, born Dec 2, 1834
      2. Moses Josiah Guyton, born March 31, 1845
      3. Louise Guyton, married Seaborn Jones, Rockmart, GA.
      4. Annie Eliza Guyton, born Nov. 6, 1831, died Aug. 10, 1856
