  Chronoscope Newspaper (Larned, KS) 11 Aug 1910 Death of Thomas Iles Thomas Iles, one of the old residents of Pawnee County, died at his home near Point View, Monday, Aug 8th, after an illness of two weeks. The funeral was held at Lincoln Church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Neal of Seward having charge of the services. Interment was in Point View Cemetery. Thomas Iles was born in Campbell County, Kentucky, April 27, 1830 and was aged 80 years, 3 months, and 11 days at the time of his death. He was married in Kentucky and six sons were born to this union, five of whom survive their father. On August 4, 1870, he was married to his second wife, and he died just 4 days after their fortieth anniversary. To this second union three daughters were born, all of whom are living. The deceased moved from Kentucky to Illinois and thirty years ago moved to Barton County, Kansas. A few years later he moved to his farm at Point View, where he has lived for twenty-seven years.
