  Oscar was the son of Theodore and Susanah Brooks. He was married to Edith (Dye) on March 12, 1913, and was the father of Dalton Brooks and Eileen "Kicky" (Dixon)". When Edith died, he married Grace (Williams Cline), and they had two daughters, Marjorie (Stark) and Iva Katherine.
