Illness Fatal to H.C. Foster
Private Funeral Services to be Held Tuesday
Henry Clinton Foster, 69, longtime carpenter here, died at 11:30 p.m., Saturday at his home, 808 Carbon Street, following an illness of 15 months ducation. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Hallie Foster, and four sons and four daughters. One of his daughters is the wife of James A. Emmert, former mayor and circuit judge at Shelbyville, and now attorney-general of Indiana. The sons are Howard F. Foster of New York City, Bernard B. Foster of Fort Ordnance, Calif., Paul E. Foster of San Francisco, Calif., and Eugene R. Foster of Vincennes. The other daughters are Mrs. R. C. Baird of Indianapolis, Mrs. Morris Cullison of Forth Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Milton Roher of Hattiesburg, Miss. He also leaves five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. J. S. Phister of Tampa, Fla. Following a specific request of Mr. Foster before his death, the funeral services will be strictly private. The funeral will be held at Stocker's Chapel 2 p.m., Tuesday, with the Rev. Ray H. Montgomery, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Monroe City. Prior to the hour of the funeral friends wishing to pay respects may call at the Stocker Chapel.
