Notes - Ezekeiel Bragg Birth: Jan. 7, 1784 Culpeper Culpeper County Virginia, USA Death: Jun. 20, 1872 Adair Adair County Missouri, USA Ezekeiel's 1st wife was Nancy Estes and they had nine children: 1) Lucy Bragg Harrell 2) Thomas Milton Bragg 3) William Evans Bragg 4) James Madison Bragg* 5) Martha "Patsy" Bragg Mikel 6) Eliza Bragg Garmen 7) George Bragg 8) Nancy Winn Bragg Shumaker 9) Benjamin S. Bragg Ezekeiel's 2nd wife was Tabitha Vaughn. Ezekeiel Bragg was one of the original settlers of Adair County, Missouri. ---The Bragg Cemetery is located approximately 3 1/2 miles west of the La Plata Santa Fe Railroad Station and north 1/2 mile through farm land now owned (in 1980) by Mrs. Olive Gilbreath McLorn and rented by the Duane Turner family. Two huge pine trees at the edge of a wooded area mark the exact spot where the cemetery is located. ---The land was originally owned by Ezekeiel Bragg. Bricks from his home have been found about 100 yards from the west end of the cemetery. NOTE: The Bragg Cemetery measures 100 feet by 100 feet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
