    • Sarah Jones Butts Birth: Dec. 1, 1863 Perry County Indiana, USA Death: Oct. 16, 1942 Crawford County Indiana, USA Sarah Jones, daughter of Anderson and Lucinda Jones, was born in Perry County on December 1, 1863, and died October 16, 1942, at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 15 days. She was married to Samuel W butts on January 31, 1878. To this union six children were born. Five preceded her in death, Mrs Rosetta May, Arthur Butts, Lucinda Butts, Welza Butts, and an infant. Victor C Butts, of Grantsburg, with whom she has made her home since the death of her husband on August 13, 1922, survives. She also leaves four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Ellen Clutinger, of Sulphur. She united with the Christian church 45 years ago at Old Union under the preaching of the Rev. Mr.Terry. She lived faithful to the end. She was a kind and loving mother. Her friendship was kind and broad to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services were held at Riddle, Saturday at 2 p.m. with Leonard Cummins in charge.
