Notes - THE CRAWFORD COUNTY DEMOCRAT - English, Indiana
Thursday - November 15, 1906
Joseph DENBO,one of the oldest pioneers of Crawford County, died of dropsy at his home near Mifflin, Tuesday, November 5th, aged 89 years. Mr. DENBO was born on the DENBO farm near English where he lived for several years. He assisted in cutting out the road from English to Taswell during his boyhood days and could relate many important and interesting events that took place during the early history of Crawford County. Two sons and three daughters survive Mr. DENBO. The remains were interred Wednesday at the Mifflin cemetery under the auspices of the Masonic order of which he was probably the oldest member of the state.
