      James A. Reddoch Birth: 1782 Death: 1862 James A. Reddoch was born 1782 in NC- came to MS about 1817 from GA and built a ferry across Leaf River where 84 is today. The ferry was passed down to his oldest son, John A. Reddoch. John A. passed the ferry down to two of his sons- James O. who lived west of the river and Caleb Martin, and died about 1862 in Covington county, MS. He married Nancy Anna Youngblood in who lived east of the river. Caleb Martin's house was built in Covington Co. but when Jones Co. was established, the county line ran through the center of the house, the county line does not follow the river. She was born about 1795, and died about 1863 in Covington County, MS. Their children were: John A. Reddoch, b. 19 Oct 1812, GA; d. 28 May 1876, Buried at Leaf River Church cemetery, Covington Co., MS. Catherine (Martha) Mathilda Reddoch, b. 1817, AL; d. 1852, Jones Co, MS; m. Benjamin F.
