  • Notes
    • Daniel Flensburgh by Stefan Bielinski Daniel Flensburgh * probably was born about 1690. He may have been the son of Johannes Flensburgh who emigrated from Germany to New York during the 1670s. In July 1717, he married Johanna Yates in New York. They soon settled in Albany where four children were christened in the Albany Dutch church by 1724. This Flensburgh family lived in the first ward where Daniel followed the shoemaker's trade. He belonged to an Albany militia company. In 1718, he was appointed firemaster. In 1720, he was identified as a freeholder living in the first ward. Daniel Flensburgh filed a will in August 1725. He died shortly thereafter and was buried by his church. His widow may have lived until 1739. biography in-progress notes the people of colonial Albany Sources: The life of Daniel Flensburgh is CAP biography number 8041.
