      Oneda Lorina Lydia Ott Ringle, 100, Lanesville, died Friday, May, 31, 2013, at home after a difficult recovery from a broken hip in March.

      Born Dec. 7, 1912, in Lanesville, she was the daughter of the late Sophie Barbara Reinhardt and Louis Peter Ott. She was baptized on Dec. 29, 1912, at St. John's Lutheran Church near Lanesville and confirmed on March 28, 1928, at St. John's, babysat for family, neighbors and friends and was a homemaker.

      Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Charles Ringle, in 1965; four brothers, Walter L, Elmore J, Louis C and Thomas A Ott; and a granddaughter, Heidi Vaughn.

      Survivors include three children, Barbara Snyder of Irving, Texas, Charles Ringle of Lanesville and Marsha Himmelhaver of New Albany; five grandchildren; and 15 great- and great-great-grandchildren.

      Visitation: Monday, June 3, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany. Funeral: Tuesday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church south of Lanesville with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Lanesville.

      The family suggests memorial gifts to St. John's Lutheran Church or the University of Louisville Heidi King Vaughn Memorial Scholarship (Office of Donor Relations, Louisville, KY 40292).
