Obituary in The Bolivar Herald, Thursday April 6, 1899.

      Death of Henry Clingman

Wednesday morning, March 22, Henry Clingman, while dressing himself, broke a blood vessel and fell backward on his bed. Grandpa, as he was familiarly known, had been in feeble health for several weeks. He was about eighty years of age at the time of his death. He was raised in Pennsylvania, but has been a resident of this section for several years. He was a faithful member of the M. E. church, and beloved by all who knew him. The family now left consists of two sons and two daughters, three of whom live in Pleasant Hope. They have the sympathy of the community.
