She married John Yates, bond Feb. 28, 1824, in Washington County, KY, Surety: Peter Powell. They were married by Rev. Fr. Richard Pius Miles, O. P., later the first Bishop of Nashville, TN--See Marriage Book #I, page 30 and Marriage Register 3, page 10 in the Washington County Clerk's Office in Springfield, KY. They had these three children baptized at St. Rose Church: John Washington Yates, 1832-xxxx; Eliza Jane Yates, 1834-xxxx; an Henry Pius Yates, 1835-xxxx. There were probably other children. Charity died in childbirth when Henry Pius Yates was born. Her burial entry on page 126 of St. Rose Pariah Register I says she was buried Sep. 5, 1835.
