    • NOTE: James HUGHES, b. 5 Nov 1762 PA and married also in PA, to Catherine PROTHRO, was a Revolutionary War soldier, supposed to have been half Native American and half of Welsh Quaker descent. He had moved down into the Shenandoah Valley by the mid 1790s. His wife and children moving c. 1810 to Harrison County, IN, with a group from Kentucky, but James seems gone by then.
