1789 MAR: Culpeper Co, VA, 31 Dec, Warner Yates and Elizabeth Baxter by William Mason (Baptist).
1793 DEED: Culpeper Co, VA, DB R-409, 21 Oct. Warner purchased from James Atwood and Sarah, his wife, of Culpeper Co, for L 33, one hundred and seven acres of land adjacent to the estate of John Menefee.
1797 DEED: Culpeper Co, VA, DB U-278, 13 Mar. Warner Yates and Elizabeth, his wife, conveyed to John Yates, of Culpeper Co, for L 40,one hundred acres of land, lying on a branch of Rush River and adjoining to the land of John Menefee. Warner Yates signed his name, while his wife Elizabeth made her X mark. The witnesses were James Green, Lewis Conner and William McQueen. The same deed was also recorded on March 30,the same year.

A highly decorated, retired naval carrier and test pilot and aeronautical engineer, began writing history after a second career as a business executive. His other widely acclaimed book is the First Virginia Regiment of Foot, 1775-1783, the first such history of any Virginia unit in the American Revolution.

BARREN CO - QUARTER SESSIONS - APRIL 1801 COURT
Continuation of the April 1801 court: Remember that the Court of Quarter
Sessions proceded what is now the Circuit Court.
CUNNINGHAM paid for 2 days attendance, traveling 136 miles. Wm LASWELL,
Jacob CLARK & Reuben CLARK charged with Breach of peace vs Commonwealth.
Warner YATES paid for 2 days attenadance and traveling either 20 or 40
miles. George PERRY paid for same. Dudley ROUNDTREE Jr paid as witness vs
Saml ROUNDTREE. Same for Littleberry PARRISH, Henry RENICK.
